Our Process

A Process Designed for No Surprises

Software projects fail on communication far more often than on code. Our process is built to make progress visible every week, decisions explicit, and costs predictable — from the first call to long after launch.

01

Discover & Scope · Days 1–3

It starts with a free 30-minute call about your goals — business goals, not just features. We ask the questions that surface hidden complexity early: who uses this, what systems it touches, what 'done' means, what happens at 10× volume.

  • Free consultation call — no preparation needed on your side
  • Written scope: what's included, what's explicitly not, and why
  • Fixed quote and committed timeline, usually within 48 hours
  • Honest flags: risks, dependencies, and anything we think you shouldn't build

02

Design & Approve · Week 1–2

Before code, design. Wireframes first to agree the flows, then high-fidelity screens in quick iterations with your feedback. You approve what will be built while changes still cost minutes, not weeks.

  • User flows and wireframes for every screen that matters
  • High-fidelity UI in your brand, iterated with your feedback
  • Technical architecture decided and documented
  • Your sign-off before development begins

03

Build in Sprints · Weeks 2–6 (typical)

Short sprints, each ending in a demo build you can click. Our engineers work AI-accelerated — Claude and Copilot handle scaffolding, test generation, and first-pass review — while senior engineers own every decision and review every release.

  • Weekly demo builds — see progress, not status reports
  • Automated tests written alongside features, run on every change
  • Senior engineer review before anything merges
  • A shared tracker so you always know what's in flight

04

Launch & Support · Ongoing

Launch is a checklist, not a leap: monitoring live before users arrive, backups tested, rollback rehearsed. Then a support period is included in every project — and a maintenance plan if you want us to keep watch long term.

  • Production deployment with monitoring and alerting from day one
  • Post-launch support period included in every package
  • Documentation and handover for your team
  • Optional monthly maintenance: updates, monitoring, improvement hours

FAQ

Questions About Working Together

How quickly can we start?

Typically within one to two weeks of scope approval, depending on current commitments. The discovery call itself can usually happen within a couple of days of your enquiry.

What do you need from us during the project?

A decision-maker who can join a weekly 30-minute demo and answer questions asynchronously, plus timely access to any systems we integrate with. Projects stall on client-side decisions far more often than on engineering — we structure the process to make your side of it light.

What if requirements change mid-project?

They usually do, and the process expects it. Small adjustments get absorbed; anything that affects scope gets a written change note with its impact on timeline and cost — before we do the work, not after. You'll never discover a change in the invoice.

What does 'AI-accelerated' actually mean in practice?

Our engineers use AI tools the way good engineers use them: for scaffolding, test generation, refactoring, research, and first-pass review. It removes the slow, mechanical parts of development. What it doesn't do is replace judgement — architecture, trade-offs, and final review are senior human work, always.

Do you work with in-house teams?

Yes — both alongside them on shared codebases and as a specialist add-on (commonly for AI features). We adapt to your tools, branching model, and review process rather than imposing ours.
